Allison Pasquesi is a multi-disciplinary artist and maker. Her conceptual work is expressed through various mediums including performance, body wear, sound, photography, and text-based pieces.
Through siting work on the body, she creates an immediate, unavoidable dialog. This work focuses on social commentary, identity and truth telling; it bears witness to personal histories and ephemera. Often tattle-tale, the performative photography wrestles with what has become of us.
She is based in Chicago and is working with a small group of artists in adjacent practices to found a small residency in North Carolina to explore multimedia collaboration.
