Apologies to a Newborn (2019-ongoing)

The seeds of this project come from the preemptive moment of becoming a parent. 

The first look at this new being. This clean slate. 

Already imbued with traits and tendencies that are yet unrevealed. 

The instant transformation one feels of responsibility, love and hope.

Sometimes, the second wave is one of being overwhelmed by what’s to come for this innocent. A kind of “what have I done”.

I hope to ring a deep note with those that have gazed into that new face with wonder and apprehension.
